Notifications

The Notifications section displays important updates, reminders, and alerts relevant to you. This is where you can view all messages sent to you by administrators, teachers, and the system.

How to Use

Accessing Your Notifications

1. Navigate to Notifications: Click the bell icon (🔔) in the top navigation bar.
2. View Notification Count: The bell icon shows a number indicating how many unread notifications you have.
3. Open Notifications Page: Click on the bell icon to open your notifications page.

Reading Your Notifications

Viewing All Notifications:

1. Notification List: See all your notifications displayed in chronological order.
2. Unread Indicators: Unread notifications are highlighted or marked with special indicators.
3. Notification Types: Different types of notifications may have different icons or colors:
   • Announcements: General announcements and updates
   • Reminders: Reminders about events, deadlines, or tasks
   • Alerts: Important alerts and notifications
   • System Messages: Automated messages from the system

Reading Notification Details:

1. Click to Expand: Click on a notification to read the full message.
2. Read More: For long messages, click "Read more" to expand and see the complete content.
3. Notification Content: View the full message content, including any important details or instructions.

Managing Your Notifications

Marking as Read:

1. Individual Marking: Click "Mark as read" on individual notifications to mark them as read.
2. Bulk Actions: Select multiple notifications and mark them all as read at once.
3. Automatic Marking: Some notifications may be automatically marked as read when you view them.

Filtering Notifications:

1. All Notifications: View all your notifications (both read and unread).
2. Unread Only: Filter to show only unread notifications for quick review.
3. Read Only: View notifications you've already read for reference.

Searching Notifications:

1. Search Box: Use the search box to find notifications by keyword or content.
2. Search Results: View filtered results based on your search terms.
3. Clear Search: Clear your search to return to the full notification list.
